I learned composting and recycling from my grandmothers -- who survived the Depression and learned about the value of everything during WWII rationing. My Dad's constant quote "waste not, want not!" and my Mom's resourcefulness taught me to be a conscious consumer. I found my calling in the environmental movement, working to create policy to protect forests and rivers and make smart energy choices. A year ago, I had a baby girl. As my husband and I raise our daughter, we feel many pressures from consumerism and the plight of the planet looms. We're stumbling about as we make our daily choices - we look forward to the journey with you!
